With Energy conservation becoming increasingly more important, it's good to know that LED lighting has a lifetime equal to the vehicle and approximately 10% of the power requirement of conventional bulbs. These will over time supersede the older technology altogether.
White LED bulbs are closer to the colour of daylight, and studies suggest they are better for staying alert.
LED Dashboard bulbs are a great improvement over the standard type of bulb. Where bulbs are replaced by LED’s they not only give a brighter light but due to their small color spectrum also provide purer colors.
So much so that planes now use them in the cockpit instrument panels.
LED's are now found in places such as ignition key lighting, door handle lighting, and bright alarm LED's in the doors and the dash. Red or blue, it’s your choice!
LED’s are becoming a viable alternative for the halogen lamp now that prices are coming down and even as a replacement for the expensive HID (High Intensity Discharge) lighting, also known as Xenon lamps.
Despite the high efficiency of HID's there are also downsides to HID lighting, expensive converters are needed to ignite the gas discharge lamp and have it work within its specifications. The Headlight’s need to warm up, hence they are not really suitable for signaling with your headlights. We no longer sell HID conversion kits at Click Parts for this reason.
We sell all types of LED bulbs including the following, Side Light and Repeater Bulbs, Stop Lights (Brake), Rear Lights, Front Indicators, Rear Indicators, Rear Fog Lights, LED Festoon Bulbs in a range of colours.
We also sell LED Resister kit's. We sell these because sometimes LED bulbs may cause some newer vehicles to indicate a bulb is burnt out. This because the power out put needed to light them is so low some cars think the bulb is not working!
It therefore may cause increased flash rate of the turn signals, and some may not flash at all. This can be remedied with load resistors wired across the turn signal bulbs to simulate a filament bulb load.
That is the great thing about LED's you can say you are going "Green" less power needed but a bettter stronger bright light.
